Art has allowed me to work toward an understanding of my place.

My artistic endeavors began with the receipt of my first camera in 1963. I have continuously made pictures since then, either photographs, drawings or paintings, turning full time to that work in 2006 after a parallel career as a furniture maker.

My work, whether with photography, drawing, or painting is about connection and interaction. The composition and assemblage whether
discovered and recognized in the world, or imagined and created in the studio is about that interaction.
