About
In the last few years I fell under the spell of minimalist landscape photography as an amateur, self-taught photographer. I bought my first DSLR in 2016 and embarked on a new exciting, creative, and intimate journey. Most of my photographs aim to capture landscapes in simple and clean compositions which allow me to express emotions that are both fundamental and universal. In my compositions I find beauty when basic geometric lines and shapes are bound in harmony with the elusive variability and diversity of natural, organic forms. Capturing such simplified relationships, which are present in nature itself, creates a moment of respite in a complicated and complex network of reality. It is an invitation to stand still and step into a deeper inner dialogue. As a photographer, I am constantly fascinated by witnessing these fleeting moments orchestrated by nature under very specific circumstances and on her own terms. I am bewitched by her genius to create them anytime and anywhere. Most of all, I am fascinated by and grateful for the fact that these moments offer pure joy, self-knowledge, and contemplation. Lastly, it is my hope that this personal journey of searching, exploring, and learning may connect with the viewers of my photographs and their experience.
