– Please introduce yourself

I’m Thierry Bansront, a french photographer born in 1975 in New Caledonia . After growing up in Britain, i moved to Paris at age 18 and worked in the video game for 6 years. I continued in the post-production by creating 2 3D animation studios and digital special effects in 1999 and 2004 working on animated films and commercials. For the first time in my life , I discovered a real creative freedom without constraint or imposed upon me anything. One thing that has never happened to me in my job in 20 years! I was free of my artistic choices without anyone interfering in any way whatsoever! And I wondered how it was he that photography was not obvious to me before? ” A revelation that allows myself today to consider a new career in the photo in which i intend to henceforth provide express his creativity!
« I am primarily a portrait painter, lover of faces and emotions that can restore a look, an expression of body movement.
I have a preference for rendering homage to the painting of the neoclassical period. the set of lights and colors that highlight the natural beauty of the models.
A style that tries to get away from the dictates of modern representation of women to return to ue some form of grace and gentleness.
I also love nude photography allows me to working in a more creative way »

– Do you have an artistic/photographic background?

No, nobody in my family work in an artistic work. For my part i work in there and have always made drawing and animation,

– Which artist/photographer inspired your art?

A lot of Painters like Ingres, Wermeer , Delacroix and a lot of classical painting,

– How much preparation do you put into taking a photograph?

First, I draw each portrait on paper, based on the chosen model.
The drapes are order on a fabric in Paris. I choose those accoding the colors and the material for the reflections of lights on them.
The shooting lasts 2 or 3 hours but the essential of this time is to know the model and to help her to feel fine before shooting. The time for shooting is around 10 to 30 mn. I work to make only one picture. (it’s why it’s designed before). Generally the atmosphere durint the shooting is joyful and funy, making jokes and lintening music… Very different that might suggest the final result (^^)
