Viet Van Tran was the first and only Vietnamese photographer to have portfolios collected by Win- Initiative (US), also was the first and only Vietnamese photographer to win the Prix de la Photographie, Paris Px3 (France - five consecutive years), International Photography Awards (IPA, USA – five consecutive years), Photo Master Cup (UK - two consecutive years), Pollux Annual Awards of Worldwide Gala Photography (UK - two consecutive years), Art of Photography show (US), shortlisted for London International Creative Composition (UK - two consecutive years).
As the jury of many national photo contest and cinema contest such as “Annual Photojournalism prize National”, “Gold moment”- Vietnam Press Agency, Canon Photo contest for young, Film documentary annual award of Vietnam Cinema Association, Enviromental Film Festival at Viet Nam.
Featured in almost 200 Vietnamese newspaper articles and the subject of many interviews on Vietnamese cultural and arts programmes on Vietnamese television.
