Powell-Cetywa


About

A graduate of Columbia University (Chemistry degree), Cetywa Powell is a filmmaker and photographer. As a photographer, Powell has been published in the New York Times and has exhibited at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Additional recognitions include honorable mentions in the 2018 Moscow Foto Awards, 2017 MonoVisions Photography Awards, 2016 and 2015 International Photography Awards, and the 2016 ND Photography Awards. She was also a 2016 finalist in the Shoot the Frame portrait contest, a 2013 National Geographic Daily Dozen selection, and a 2014 and 2017 National Geographic Editor's Favorite Pick. Five photographs have been selected for sale by the Duncan Miller Gallery in Santa Monica, CA (through their YourDailyPhotograph.com site). Exhibitions have been at galleries in London, France, New York, Los Angeles, Maryland, Virginia, Hungary, Florida, the Trieste airport in Italy, Vermont and Texas.
