Paul Howell

About

Over the course of his career, Paul has worked exclusively in photography, allowing him to build a wealth of experience and no shortage of problem solving techniques! He is as at home shooting reportage on the Afghan border as he is shooting kids in the studio! Frequently published, Paul has hundreds if not thousands of happy customers in his wake, from multinational NGO’s like “Medicines Sans Frontieres” and the Tsunami Relief Charity “4Kali”, to the numerous private customers he has worked for both in the UK and NZ.

More recently, Paul has increasingly focused on digital imaging and post-production, transfering skills learnt though hours in the darkroom into cutting edge digital techniques.

“Ive been very lucky in that Ive had the chance to work all over the place, in incredibly varied areas of photography. No matter what Im shooting it comes down to preparation, hard work, getting to know your subject, listening to your clients needs and producing the work they require. As a recent newlywed myself, I know how amazing and overwhelming your wedding day is – so many things to organise! For the photographer its about so much more than recording an event. Sure, we all want a record, but what I strive to produce is art-work that reflects the essence of the day. Its about capturing the magic, the relationships, the sideways glances and nervous giggles. Its about telling your story. I believe in building a strong relationship with the bride and groom, listening to their opinions and producing unique work they will treasure forever”.”
