I was born on the 06th of July 1977 in Hamm – Nordrhein- Westfalen and grew up as the eldest of 7 children in Kassel.
After I broke up school with a school leaving certificate,I volunteered for the military service.
In December 2000, I was released honorable as a staff-sergeant.
After I finished the military service, I have completed university as a physical- therapist with a successful states- exam.
It was followed by several changes of residence to Berlin, Bavaria and back to Berlin.
During this time, I was trying to held my head over water with various odd jobs mainly in the hospitality.
After my grandmother’s death, I came into contact for the first time doing photography during a pilgrimage in October / November 2012 at the Camino De Santiago.
In May 2013 I met the French photographer Nicholas Prache, which temporarily takes over the role of a mentor.
At the end of 2013 I already had my first exhibition participation.
During this period, I was strongly influenced by pictures of the old Magnum – School like works of Henri Cartier – Bresson, Robert Capa, Elliot Erwit, W. Eugne – Smith, Steve McCurry, Sebastiao Salgado and especially by images from James Nachtwey.
Other sources of inspiration for me are Ken Oosterbroek, Greg Marinovich, Anton Corbijn, Albert Watson, Richard Avedon, Marc Seeliger Don McCullin, Stanley Greene, Joseph Koudelka,Michael Kamber, Kevin Carter, Joao Silva, Michael Kenna, Lee Jeffries and Annie Leibovitz.
Currently I work as a self – employed photographer and artist, doing custom order, processing and documentation work as well as implement my own artistic projects.
Today I live together with my loving wife again in Kassel.
