Matic Golob

Matic has been attracted by photography from his first digital camera further in 2005. Since then a special bond between Matic and his 3.1MP Praktica has developed and it did not take long that Matic got his hands on his first Digital SLR camera; a Nikon D40. And then… it just kind of happened…

Landscape, waterscape, animal, flower, macro, long-exposure, and architecture are just some of the types of photography Matic has developed his passion for. In late 2008 Matic was presented with the opportunity to work for one of the Slovenian most respectful photo agency. At that time Matic was studying at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and as he described, that was one of the most stressful years as he was constantly working late into night and attending classes in the mornings. However, Matic said: “That was also one of the best years in my life. I meet so many incredible and talented people, had so much fun and explore the Slovenian celebrity and fashion scenes. I would instantly go back and work among these people; it is a very dynamic world, almost mad at the moments, and that is the charm of this work – love it”.

Soon after Matic has moved to UK, following his dreams to study at one of the best technical Universities in EU. Study took most of his time, but the location gave him a chance to explore some really extraordinary and beautiful places. Therefore it is hardly a surprise that some of his best shoots were taken in the UK.

Matic was always trying to juggle between work and his passion for photography. Nevertheless, Matic explored different styles over the past few years and he developed growing interest in fashion, glamour and portrait photography. So let’s wait for the results, shall we?

Some of his work has been rewarded, exhibited and published in variety of Slovenian media and on-line.
