Emme Divi 2

About

Emme Divi, stage name Marcella Dalla Valle, is a movement photographer and her work is characterised by a conceptual and abstract approach to human beings and the landscapes around them.
The aim of her work, similarly to the poets is ... not to ask the formula that worlds can open to you, yes some crooked syllable and dry as a branch (E. Montale from Ossi di Seppia), is not to photograph reality in order to maintain fidelity to the visual datum, but the conscious attempt to transfigure the image in order to guess bit by bit.
The main themes dealt with are the understanding of the self linked to the message and psychological reason. His approach, unlike other photographers who have experimented with movementist photography (P. Monti, E. Hass, G. Bucci, F. Woodman) is literary, linked to the word, and is translated into stories in search of a balance between the inner and outer worlds.
Emme Divi was born in 1971 in Thiene in the province of Vicenza. She graduated in Modern Literature at the State University of Milan.
