About
I am a photographer with deep roots in literature, poetry, dance and the visual arts. I have been surrounded by art, literature and music for as long as I can remember. I have a background as a professional ballet dancer and choreographer that ended in my 30's due to injury and surgery.
My passion for photography began as a child mesmerized by Life and National Geographic magazine. Those images transported me to experiences outside my frame of reference and I seemingly absorbed and understood the world through them.
People and their stories, mysteries, contradictions, nuances, and subtext....this is what interests me the most.
I now work as a portrait and fine art photographer in Ithaca, NY. Drawing from my dance experience, my personal work often features dancers and draws from the emotional, social and psychological landscapes.
