I am self taught and still learning each and every day. I picked up my first film camera as a teenager but lost interest after a couple of years.

I have the same story as many others - later in life, children were due to be born and I wanted a decent camera again to make sure I captured every moment. This also coincided with a severe shoulder injury that ended my long distance sea swimming which had been my main passion since childhood. It was not long until I was taking the camera with me every time I went for a walk along the beach.
