Bhairavi Parikh is a Mumbai based fine art photographer. After a B.A. in English literaure during which she wrestled with Shakespeare, Milton and Keats, she did a two year photography course at a local school where she made lifelong friends. This was followed by a year long photo-assistantship with one of the funnest product and architecture stalwarts – Jaideep Oberoi - who is her mentor to this day. After about 5 years of freelancing, when she did many exciting projects like shoot the historic Taj Hotel, take pictures of some beautiful crochet shawls, create portraits of a renowned lawyer and capture the horses running wild at Mahalaxmi Race Course; she did a three month internship at Vogue India under Iona Fergusson who is a good friend and a great visualiser. She has worked as Creative Head and Photography Assistant at the studio of Indian celebrity photographer Avinash Gowariker. Currently, she's working on assignments and personal projects.
