About

I studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, my hometown. After my graduation I began a period of passionate research with various media and materials until I was completely seduced by the art of photography and began a career as a freelance photographer.
In 1998 I moved to The Netherlands. Since then, the new geographical and social environment and the magic of the Nordic light dominate the subject matter of my personal projects.

About this project:

Santa Teresa, my family’s farm in Uruguay. The nearest tiny village is 15 kilometers away over mainly dirt road.

One week. No TV. No radio. No newspaper. No phone. No Internet.
A chicken passes by. A leaf falls down.
One week. No deadlines. No dilemmas.
Two cows stare at me, curious but coy, just like me at times.
One week. No feelings of missing extraordinary opportunities. No ambition for being recognized.
A boy runs away from my camera. A dog barks.
One week. Right here. Right now.
