Amira Oppenheimer

I am clinical psychologist by profession and an avid photographer in the last six years, mostly self taught. Photography is for me a means to looking, searching wondering, discovering my surrounding and daily life. I Take pictures as I go .I meet along my way people: new and old acquaintance. I observe and follow the changes in all living around. I try to find the meanings, interest and beauty in the most mundane trivial, simple happenings around. I follow the emergence, growth, blooming and decaying of what is near me, in my world, which includes occasional visits outside my country. Taking pictures is my way of contemplating and arranging my thoughts and feelings. Photography is for me a way of experiencing different options and point of views about my place and about the values and the beauties as well as the pain and social injustice done here.
